The Data Specialist is responsible for managing, analyzing, interpreting, and processing large datasets across multiple system platforms. They report errors through appropriate channels for resolution and reconcile data submissions with submitted remittance summaries. Additional duties include meeting the demands of a production environment, ensuring high standards in both data input and service quality, and providing professional customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 8 plus years of experience in manipulating electronic media.
  • 8 plus years of work experience in an office environment.
  • Ability to use Excel, Word and WinZip preferred.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Primary Job Functions:
  • Audit remittance report to data files for accuracy.
  • Process files to various systems within SLA.
  • Review error reports, determine which items need action taken, take appropriate action as needed.
  • Report unresolvable errors for resolution through appropriate channels.
  • Reconcile information remittance report to file received to file load into the system.
  • Coordinate payment arrangement when applicable.
  • Provide client reporting within contractual SLA guidelines.
  • Communicate with clients on reporting, processes, questions, data, etc.
  • Maintain error tracking/audit reports.
  • Be the data expert: responsible for its quality and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the onboarding of new accounts as subject matter expert.
  • Maintain training materials including but not limited to technical documents for requirements/design and internal communication.
  • Complete tasks in tracker as needed to meet SLA.
  • Identify potential workflow improvements and impediments and suggest changes in process.
  • Work with management to develop process efficiency.
  • Provide professional customer service.
  • Other duties and special projects as needed.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
