We treat our patients and their families with the highest quality of care and maintain an enduring commitment to excellence.The Certified Surgical Technician performs technical responsibilities relative to assisting physicians with the instrumentation of surgical intervention in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. Monitors PAR levels of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Works under the direction and supervision of physician or registered nurse. Responsibilities: Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.Knowledge of instruments and surgical techniques; instrument and needle counts; isolation techniques and terminal cleaning of surgical instruments and rooms.Demonstrates knowledge of specific technical surgical skills.#500
