Job Responsibilities

  • Completes, tracks and monitors financial loan covenants for the commercial loan portfolio.
  • Spreads financial statements regularly to assist lenders in analyzing credits for existing and new members
  • Provides competent credit analysis for lending activities to be utilized within the credit evaluation forms presented to loan committee for review and for approval.
  • Provides loan covenant and risk rating monitoring.
  • Prepares and calculates risk ratings in adherence to our business lending loan policy and guidelines.
  • Confirms or changes risk rating matrix for commercial loan portfolio.
  • Assists in cash flow analysis of financial statements and calculation of key financial metrics.
  • Evaluates results of investigations and prepares financial spreads and commentary for new requests, renewals, and annual reviews.
  • Facilitates the routing, minutes, and meetings for loan committees.
  • Performs background checks and pulls credit reports of borrowers to aid in credit analysis.
  • Completes periodic financial updates and reviews of the existing loans to ensure compliance with loan agreements
  • Suggests and presents credit limitations, strengths and weaknesses to loan officers and management.
  • Visits business establishments and completes site inspections as requested to determine condition of property as part of new underwrite and annual review processes.
Required Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years related professional experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business administration field preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year credit underwriting experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's)

A representation of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform this job competently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Understanding of personal and business financial statements/tax returns
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Understanding of financial statements, ratios, and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Awareness of economic indicators and their impact on credit markets.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
  • Precision in reviewing financial documents and identifying discrepancies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication to present findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to evaluate complex financial information and make informed decisions.
  • Building relationships with colleagues.
  • Managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
