Job Summary:

Under general direction, this position is the enterprise subject matter expert and manages product backlogs and review iteration outcomes to ensure the business success of software development projects. Primary owner of the relationships across the enterprise for internal, external, and third party vendors and provides support to the Client, verifying the business value delivered by the Product and how it aligns with the Client's strategy. They manage the projects, relationships, and contractual agreements with our third-party vendors. They actively support the Client from the business point of view and provides guidance in assessing Product opportunities and risks. They take advantage of the Product KPIs (and other business metrics) to optimize the Product. This position evaluates impact across platforms and communicates to appropriate executive stakeholder.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Provides enterprise level knowledge of impact across products and platforms presenting data to client and executive level leadership.

Works closely with the Client, defining the next iterations of the Product and plan their releases; presents the Teams perspective and point of view to the Client, and build trust between the two sides.

Evaluates the KPI metrics and suggests new solutions to increase the Products business value. Verifies the business value delivered by the Product and how it aligns with the Clients strategy.

Provides strategic focus for the development team, to ensure the right things to be focused on and completed during the development process; organizes workshops with the Products users (based on the Discover/Define approach) to discover and validate hypotheses, as well as work with architecture the best solutions for the Product.

Uses dedicated techniques for road mapping (e.g. MOSCOW, Kano, or Pareto) and selected tools to describe the Product vision (e.g. business model canvas, lean canvas, or vision box).

Provides inputs for applications technical designs and data models to deliver user-friendly product solutions.

Contributes to the design of UX workflows for the product.

Guides and mentors Product community in business domain knowledge and product owner practice

Manages the 3rd party vendor relationship participating in negotiation and contractual agreements.

Work with Product Management to solicit architectural guidance to ensure BU compliance with future 360 Platform product direction

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business, Computer and Information Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training, &/or military equivalent; Plus 5 or more years of experience acting as a Product Owner and/or certification in Agile fundamentals.
OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field, or foreign equivalent; Plus 3 years of experience in Engineering & Technology.

Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of Agile process and principles
AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:
Knows and embodies Scrum values
Understands Product Owner involvement in Scrum events
Experience drafting and elaborating backlog items
Understanding or experience with contractual agreements & vendor management
Knowledge of high level architecture and impacts

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Companys bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
