Scientific Drilling International is accepting online applications for the position of Human Resources Coordinator at our Corporate Headquarters in The Woodlands, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

In collaboration with hiring managers and the HR Manager, supports the recruitment effort by reviewing resumes, conducing phone screenings and coordinating interviews with hiring managers.
Assists with the onboarding process by initiating background checks, pre-employment drug screenings and issuing employment offers.
Creates a positive onboarding experience for all new hires, including completing new hire paperwork and conducting new hire orientations, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of current company policies and benefit programs.
Serves as a point of contact for general HR inquiries, supporting both the management team and all levels of the organization.
Maintains the employee database with a strong emphasis on data accuracy. Completes employee hires, terminations and transfers within the HRIS.
Processes HR-related documents, including Personnel Change Notifications and new hire paperwork.
Manages records of personnel-related data such as payroll, personal information, leaves of absence and benefit enrollment ensuring compliance with all employment requirements.
Enrolls, updates and removes employees from benefits programs and the benefit administration system.
Ensures compliance with our random drug testing program, coordinating the scheduling of testing and submitting data to relevant agencies.
Has knowledge of current employment laws and legislation.
Assists in the managing of employee leaves of absence including disability claims, FMLA and workers compensation.
Ensures that all employee documentation is collected, reviewed for accuracy, completed, filed and recorded in all applicable systems.
Assists with payroll and tax-related activities.
Creates, maintains and protects the highest levels of confidentiality with all proprietary information and sensitive information.
Complete employment verifications and assist with unemployment inquiries.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the needs of the business.

This position is required to work from The Woodlands office four days per week.

Job Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

SAP experience is preferred.
Proficient experience with MS Office and related business and communication tools.
High degree of speed, accuracy and attention to detail in daily work.
Outstanding communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to process data in a confidential and sensitive manner.
Ability to work in fast paced and results driven environment.
Ability to present oneself with professional appearance and behavior in accordance with dress code and Code of Conduct.
Ability to meet all safety requirements.
Ability to read, communicate, and understand the English language.
Ability to be a team player/builder.
Adhere to established Company procedures and policies, work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.

Education, Experience, Certification, And Training

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in HR.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience in Human Resources or other related field.
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint)
Experience with HR systems including HRIS and ATS.

Location, Physical Requirements & PPE:

Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, climb stairs, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, lift and carry under 25 lbs., perceive depth and operate a motor vehicle.

Conditions may include working inside and/or outside. May work around machines with moving parts and moving objects. Working near radiant and electrical energy. Working closely with others or working alone. Working extended or irregular hours and travelling by all possible modes of transportation.

Equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing the essential job function include, but are not limited to, computers and related equipment, calculators, copiers, fax machines, telephone, and vehicles. Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, safety glasses, hardhat, reinforced toed shoes, coveralls, gloves, and ear plugs or muffs.
