Basic Responsibilities
  1. Provide support in the day-to-day responsibilities for recruiting diverse talent for faculty and staff openings
  2. Administer the onboarding process from offer acceptance through orientation period
  3. Maintain job classifications and compensation
  4. Maintain performance management system


Essential Duties
  1. Provide support in the day-to-day responsibilities for recruiting diverse talent for faculty and staff openings
    1. Communicate with and assist hiring managers with the hiring process
    2. Actively recruit qualified diverse applicants for employment
    3. Advise managers on how to advertise positions, select qualified applicants, and make suggestions for the interviewing process
    4. Place advertisements, attend job fairs, and perform other related duties
    5. Ensure recruiting software is working properly and meets the needs of hiring supervisors and Human Resources
  2. Administer the onboarding process from offer acceptance through orientation period
    1. Communicate with job candidates and hiring supervisors regarding background check process as well the onboarding process
    2. Serve as the focal point of introduction, orientation, and integration for employees joining the University
  3. Maintain job classifications and compensation
    1. Responsible for coordination of position classification and compensation for all staff positions
    2. Provides support with researching fair and competitive pay structure for positions based on market information
    3. Helps to prepare reports to assist in the analysis of current structure
  4. Maintain performance management system
    1. Track completion and due dates for all employee's performance appraisals
    2. Communicate with supervisors regularly to ensure performance appraisals are completed timely

Qualifications
  1. Professional
  1. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. Bachelor's degree preferred, with preference given to Human Resources or a related.
  3. Two to three years' professional experience, preferably in a Human Resources department.
  4. Maintain an attitude and philosophy consistent with ACU's mission and vision and the values of the HR Team.
  5. Proven ability to relate well with colleagues, superiors, and other individuals inside and outside the university and maintain constructive working relationships.

  6. Adaptability - adapts easily to change in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

Physical Demands
  1. Ability to sit and work on computer for extended periods of time.
  2. Travel as needed to satellite campus or to attend a training/conference.
  3. Ability to work irregular hours during events
  4. Occasional lifting of boxes up to 25 lbs.
