Engineering Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and produce drawings, design documentation, and reports across various market sectors.
Conduct structural design and analysis calculations for steel, concrete, masonry, timber, aluminum, and light-gauge steel.
Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, fabricators, owners, and clients.
Perform on-site engineering assessments and field observations.
Resolve design and construction conflicts through effective construction administration.
Provide mentorship and leadership to junior and mid-level engineers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
10-15 years of professional experience focusing on structural infrastructure design (not requiring 20+ years of experience).
Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Proficiency in American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) steel manual, American Concrete Institute (ACI) code 318, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 7, and International Building Code (IBC).
Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
Experience with structural analysis software such as RAM Elements, STAAD Pro, RISA-3D, Etabs, or similar.
Advanced knowledge in Structural Engineering: FEA, post-tensioning, progressive collapse, blast analysis/design.
Familiarity with permitting processes of building departments and environmental agencies.
Understanding of interdisciplinary coordination with disciplines like architecture, site civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, fire protection, geotechnical, surveying, and environmental.
Experience in project management of major construction projects including estimating, cost control, schedule management, and contractor oversight.
Strong communication skills.
