CNC Machinist 5 Axis Mill W/ Okuma OSP Controls Experienced Summary: Experienced CNC Machinist w/ Okuma OSP Controls Medical / Dental / Eye are available day one. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications and machining parameters. Perform multiple set ups daily Can work independently Troubleshoots Inspect your own work Calculates requirements using basic math Ensures the production plan is executed and met Track all work in process within department, ensure all materials are identified and traceable Help employees regarding machine setup, operation, malfunctions, etc. Identify and communicate production issues in a timely manner Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to jobs Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Strong attention to detail Process Improvement Excellent verbal communication skills Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Dependability Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Education and/or Experience: Equivalent to high school education or related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: Work near moving mechanical parts.
