General descriptionThe Maintenance Engineer will assist the Technical Section Leader in performing his duties.ResponsibilityEmergency responsibilities as per station bill.Act as Area Responsible for Lifting Operations (ARLO) for technical crew.Supervise the daily maintenance activities.Plan and schedule all maintenance activities in close coordination with the section leaders.Assist with the installation of third party equipment and ensure PMMS in place.Certification for machinery and equipment, including technical documentation.Order spare parts and ensure that parts are available for smooth PM schedule.Participate in operation of machinery and equipment.Participate in maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.Participate in daily cleaning and housekeeping in workshops and other areas.Perform other work as directed.AuthorityWhere responsibility is allocated the matching authority is also granted, unless otherwise stated. Stop any operation when deemed unsafe to continue.Documentation and record responsibilitiesUpkeep records and logs.Qualification requirementsTraining according to training matrixCertificate of Competency - STCW A-III/2 Chief Engineer Unlimited Experience:1-2 years of experience on offshore drilling units or background as Engineer from vesselsAdditional Skills:Computer literateConversant with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)Good interpersonal skills - ability to communicate at all levelsGood verbal and writing English skillsConversant with environmental management, quality management and safety management principlesApproved as "Electrical Plant Manager"Detailed knowledge of the maintenance systemDeputyN/ARequisitioning authorityDetermined by job level as per Authority Matrix.Safety and environmentConduct oneself in a manner which safeguards own and colleagues' safety standards.Cooperate in enhancing safety standards.Ensure actions do not compromise the Company's procedures for safeguarding the environment.
