Job Description

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a dedicated PLC & HMI Programming Engineer with a strong background in Mitsubishi systems. This role involves providing top-notch programming for machine control systems with very minimal travel. The ideal candidate will rely on their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, offering technical support for manufacturing, in-house builds, and field support for installed automated systems as needed.

Typical hours: Monday-Thursday, 4x10 hour shifts (6 AM - 4 PM).

Onsite position. Very minimal travel.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Program Mitsubishi PLC & HMI controls.
  • Program and troubleshoot control systems in collaboration with assembly and engineering teams.
  • Instruct Field Service Engineers (FSEs) on the operation and startup of machinery and control systems.
  • Ensure effective communication with customers, product and project managers, and team members to define system requirements, system operation, and schedule planning.
  • Provide support for new and existing equipment through on-site or phone assistance, requiring an in-depth understanding of our machines and their control systems.
  • Lead machine start-ups and coordinate installation services.
Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with programming Mitsubishi PLCs
  • Experience with variable frequency drives.
  • Basic understanding of industrial networking.
  • Basic understanding of pneumatics design.
  • Ability to read and correct electrical prints as necessary.
