Mars is looking for a Quality Conformance Coordinator to join us at one of our manufacturing plants located in Topeka, Kansas.

This role drives and supports continuous improvement of the Food Safety Management System, specifically within the Good Manufacturing Practices and Cleaning & Sanitation Practices programs.

Additionally, this role will drive GMP ownership to the associate level by actively supporting the Area Ownership program.

Key Responsibilities Ensure that records (e.g. data, code dates, time, initials, etc.) are complete, correct and legible. Ensure that all area checks were completed in accordance with the Food Safety Plan and QAP Initiate PRIMPs, as necessary Complete shift conformance verification Complete and sign designated sections of Shift Conformance Checklist sheet within 24 hours and turn into Q&FS Become part of the site GMP Inspection team and Perform GMP Audits Build capabilities within peers and at the operator level Quality incidents reactive support Sanitation monitoring and verification Internal Auditor team member Food Safety Team member; provide input about trends identified during shift conformance verification to ASVS leads and help to reduce the amount of PRIMPs generated. (e.g. verification activities, data collection, trending, and reporting) Active participation, providing trend analysis and leading proactive discussions for improving compliance. Attending Operations Connection Points, as necessary. Document control verification Perform GS1 Audits Lead proactive GMP efforts for value stream compliance and continuous improvement. Support collaboration efforts for inter-departmental projects Foster GMP engagement through learning events Perform cleaning line inspections. 4 hours overtime required within each pay period due to the structure of 12 hour shift schedule. Other duties as needed may be required.

Education, Professional, & Physical Qualifications High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education. Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform). Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Food Science / Food Technology/ Chemistry / other relevant technical discipline preferred. Walking/Standing on a concrete floor multiple times in a 12 hour shift.

Knowledge / Experience General knowledge of Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) At least two years of manufacturing experience.
