Support both internal and external customers by providing account information, performing account maintenance, and assisting with all balancing functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conducts self according to the UNIFIED Way. Performs all functions of Accounts Payables. Balances cash for all regions on a daily basis and reviews for large outages. Breaks down and delivers morning computer reports to designated individuals. Balances ACH transactions and specified GL accounts. Prints Magic Writer account information for specified customers. Answers incoming phone calls and serves as backup switchboard operator. Services all walk-in customers for the operations building and maintains vendor/auditor sign-ins. Encodes and prints checks for branch customers as requested. Contacts branches to get signature cards to verify the customer’s signature once their dormant notice has been returned. Processes outgoing mail daily and collects/delivers interoffice mail from the Main Office. Performs account maintenance including coding changes/account types, debit cards, name and address changes, hold/auto transfers, statement maintenance, and verifies maintenance entries for all branches; also verifies Checks UBCP stock price and posts accordingly on bulletin board. Prepares and enters Accounts Payable on Quickbooks and Prologue, verifies that invoices have been approved, and balances in accordance with procedures. Reviews and processes rejected items on the next business day and performs all edits as directed. Downloads ACH files from Fedline and notifies them of any noticeable changes. Processes incoming and outgoing Wires and Fed Returns. Performs check reconciliation (RECON). Reviews stop payments. Reviews Kiting Report and notifies BSA officer of findings. Responsible for ordering supplies for all Bank branches. Reviews all new accounts for missing CIP information/scanned documents. Indexes all documents into Precision. Maintains Compliance logs for Debit Card Red Flags. Processes DNE/Reclamations and child support garnishments. Balances internal and external banking accounts and processes adjustments as needed. Processes and balances unauthorized debit card transactions. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in business/accounting or combination of experience and skills. Prior Accounting experience. General computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets. Excellent business communication skills, both verbal and written. Pleasant telephone manner. Strong organizational skills. Proficiency in using an adding machine. Data entry skills. Detail-oriented. Ability to lift 40 pounds. Physical Requirements: Regular, timely attendance during assigned work hours. Constantly stands, walks, or sits. Constantly uses hands to finger, handle or feel. Occasionally pushes, pulls, carries, or lifts up to 40 pounds. Occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, and/or reaches. Ability to talk and hear. Frequent and/or constant telephone usage and operation of other standard office equipment. Work Environment: Generally works in an office environment, but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.
