at Parachute Home Los Angeles, CA / Remote As a Sr. FP&A Analyst, you will work closely with the finance and retail teams on reporting, forecasting and budgeting for our fast growing brick-and-mortar retail business. We are looking for someone with experience working in retail FP&A and a strong understanding of new store budgeting and planning, store level reporting, and retail FP&A processes at scale. The ideal candidate is an excellent Excel modeler with an interest in building and improving financial forecasts and a strong desire to understand why and how actuals varied from forecast. We expect you to spend the majority of your time on the retail business at Parachute, but you can also expect to be involved in other facets of FP&A. Youll work extensively with our FP&A and retail team, including our SVP of Finance, Chief Commercial Officer and VP of Retail. This role will report to the SVP of Finance with cross function reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.

**What Youll Do:**

* Improve upon our monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and review process for the retail division

* Help maintain and improve our retail operating model

* Understand financial results, assess variances to plan, and develop insightful dashboards and succinct storylines to describe retail performance

* Develop a more robust new store evaluation and forecasting tool to help us make new store go no-go decisions at scale

* Provide strategic financial support to our Retail team and identify areas of opportunity to improve KPIs and core financial metrics

* Discover inefficiencies across our processes and work to rectify them

* Support the monthly close process in partnership with Accounting and FP&A

* Ad hoc financial modeling and analysis

**Who You Are:**

* Bachelors Degree (in economics, finance, math, engineering or business is a plus, but not essential)

* 4+ years of retail FP&A experience at a mid-cap or large-cap brick-and-mortar retailer. Public retailer a plus.

* Advanced Excel user. Open to using Google Sheets even if you havent used it before

* Demonstrated ability to work with and influence those outside the finance function

* Curious with a strong desire to understand business outcomes

* Familiar with data analytics software is a plus (for example: Looker, Amplitude, Mixpanel).

* ERP experience (for example: NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) is a plus

* PC user. No Macs in finance
