Are you living your life's work?Penn Presbyterian Medical Center has an PRN Pharmacist opportunityPosition Description:The Department features a very active Pharmacist Intervention Program where decentralized Pharmacists interact with the Medical and Nursing Staffs to promote rational, cost-effective therapy. Penn Presbyterian Medical Center also manages a very successful Antibiotic Management Program. Presbyterian is a major teaching site for the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and several staff members have adjunct faculty status.Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:Providing comprehensive, quality medication management for patients of Penn Medicine through application of pharmacy practice standardsReviewing physician orders and dispensing medications and pharmaceutical preparations to inpatient and outpatient areas of the hospitalMaintaining accurate patient profiles and monitoring and helping manage drug therapies in order to achieve positive patient outcomesOverseeing pharmacy technicians and students and ensuring accuracy of their work prior to dispensingAdhering to Pharmacy Policies, Procedures, organizational goals and objectivesPerforming duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, polices, and proceduresMinimum Requirements:Please apply if you possess these qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy requiredValid and active PA license in good standing requiredUnderstanding of the Joint Commission and Department of Health process requiredStrong communication skills with all levels of staff and personnel requiredMust demonstrate the ability to perform dosage calculations requiredRequired Work ExperiencePGY 1 Residency Graduate preferred2 - 4 years of Experience preferredInpatient Hospital Experience preferredWe believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
