To qualify for the GS-12 , you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is providing advice and guidance on an organization's communications to both external and internal customers; developing and implementing communication strategies; facilitating stakeholder meetings; creating and presenting briefing materials; developing various communication materials such as: publication articles, fact sheets, position papers, and information on websites.
