Sr. Instrument Engineer P.E.

- BSc, MSc or equivalent in electrical / chemical engineering is required
- 10+ years of experience
- P.E. License is preferred
- Designs and develops field instrumentation and control systems for petrochemical, midstream and refining facilities.
- Prepares specifications, data sheets, purchase requisitions and bid evaluations for field instruments, control valves, flow meters, PLCs, SCADA systems, ISS, F G panels, analyzers, etc.
- Leads technical discussion, meetings with vendors and clients
- Prepares instrument designs, calculations and bills of material
- Works with instrument engineers, automation engineers, technologists, designers and others to provide instrument engineering and design deliverables to a variety of projects
- Develops instrument index, cause and effect charts, instrument location plans, instrument installation details, instrument junction box details, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, I/O panel schedules ladder diagrams, etc. as necessary for the project
- Reviews vendor documents for technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Responsible for quality control of all deliverables within the scope of the I C discipline
- Interfaces with project management, clients and other disciplines to coordinate project work
- Assists in preparation of cost estimates and defining scopes of work for instrumentation and control systems
- Builds internal and external relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal external service providers or contractors
- Maintains effective communication with project team members and clients
- May provide some technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills is required
