We are growing and seeking to hire a Dental Patient Coordinator to help facilitate a distinctive patient experience daily. The Ideal candidate will have one or more years working in a dental or medical front office, have a strong understanding of insurance co-pays, and be comfortable checking patients in/out.

At Apple Tree Dental, our Dental Patient coordinators are the first impression of the office in person and over the phone. We are looking for a polished and patient Dental Front Office Coordinator to work full-time Monday through Thursday. As a Dental Patient Coordinator, you will report directly to our Office Manager and help with many duties related to keeping our front office running smoothly.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Help open and close the front office
  • Check voicemail
  • Check Revenue Well for appointment requests
  • Print routers for the day
  • Greet patients/visitors and ensure they are comfortable (provide water, etc.)
  • Check-in all patients. Mark them ready or available and alert clinical staff of their arrival
  • Scan in New Patient paperwork (if paper), health history, ID, and insurance information
  • Answer incoming calls on the first ring
  • Confirm all appointments 48 hours in advance
  • Call any unconfirmed appointments and double-book the hygiene column if an appointment is not confirmed
  • Call all late patients when they are 5-10 mins behind and reschedule to the next available time/day, if necessary
  • Keep a constant eye on the schedule for fallouts
  • Call and or send out appointment availability through Revenue when they become available
  • Inform the Insurance Coordinator of any add-ons so they can verify the insurance
  • Work the Hygiene Recall List to ensure hygiene schedules stay full
  • Constantly check voicemail and Revenuewell throughout the day

Salary Range: $18 to $25 per hour plus daily bonuses

Requirements
  • Experience in a dental front office setting, at least one or more years
  • Knowledge of dental insurance
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Outgoing and friendly with a positive attitude
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and punctual

  • Strong technical abilities with patient management systems Denticon software experience is a plus
