This position involves the translation of customer specifications and industry standards into product / process criteria and creating control plans to achieve those requirements. You’ll also address the day-to-day issues with production quality within the manufacturing plant, at customer sites and supplier facilities. This is a permanent, full-time, in-office position. Location: Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities : Coordinate with production in order to plan and execute inbound and production checks. Manage relations with customers or third party inspectors. Participate in external supplier quality testing and audits. Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events. Monitor product portfolio KPIs and drive effective root cause corrective actions where appropriate to address gaps to agreed targets. Manage customer witness inspections. Maintain and analyze data to provide information or identify problems for management and stakeholders on the state of a process or product quality. Create awareness in the Leadership community regarding what opportunities have been discovered or developed and how to realize them. Collaborate with the department or other company departments to clarify / resolve issues techniques related to QC activities. Offer all documents as per QAP to customer after coordinating with internal departments and closing all documentation queries. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (Industrial Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience as Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment. Experience in engineering and utilization of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies. Due to job applications, candidate must be an US citizen. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Experience / Skills: Quality Programs: 10CFR50 App. B, NQA-1, CAN N299, NR-NBIC, and NPT-ASME Section III. Experience in Nuclear Industry. Understanding of product / process flow.
