DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Event Supervision: Oversee and assist with birthday parties and group events, ensuring smooth execution and guest satisfaction. Supervise party hosts and manage various situations to maintain high service standards.
  • Setup and Support: Ensure party rooms are properly set up and provide support to birthday party hosts and guests throughout the event. Oversee setup and cleanup for the next event.
  • Multi-tasking: Efficiently manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Event Management: Oversee birthday parties at both the theme park (Baja parties) and waterpark (Splash parties). Maintain inventory of party supplies.
  • Communication: Handle incoming phone and email inquiries, providing timely and accurate information to guests and internal departments.
  • Administrative Duties: Input client information into the ticketing system, process payments, and ensure group and birthday party orders are delivered to the Guest Services Department in advance.
  • Sales Support: Support and coordinate all sales events, including birthday parties, catered and non-catered outings, and special paid events such as Education in Motion. Proactively upsell OWA Parks & Resort products, including Tropic Falls.
  • Record Keeping: Manage weekly filing of contracts and update client records as needed.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Group Sales Assistant Manager or Group Sales Manager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
  • Previous experience in Sales or general sales a plus
  • Outgoing personality and enjoy working with the public with special interest in guest service
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must know word, excel and adobe programs to be able to process orders and emails
  • Must be able to effectively identify problems and present resolutions
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license
  • Able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to work in sunny, hot, humid, cold and rainy conditions
  • Willing and able to work in a smoke, tobacco and drug free workplace
