Tech.DEPARTMENT: PaintREPORTS TO: Paint SupervisorCLASSIFICATION: Non-exemptPurpose and Scope: The Industrial Spray Painter-Preparation Technician at Sage Oil Vac involves preparing and painting industrial equipment and products to ensure they meet the required quality and aesthetic standards. Sage Oil Vac is a company that specializes in fluid exchange equipment and solutions.Key Responsibilities:Surface PreparationPrepare surface of industrial equipment by cleaning, sanding, power washing, taping, or applying primer to ensure proper adhesion of This may include abrasive materials, solvents, and power tools.Paint ApplicationApply paint, coatings, and finishes to industrial equipment using spray guns, brushes, or rollers.Ensure that the finish is even, smoother, and free from Color MixingPrepare paint mixtures to match specified colors and ensure consistency in color application.Quality ControlInspect finished products to ensure they meet the required quality and aesthetic standards.Touch up or correct any defects or imperfections in the finish as Equipment MaintenancePerform routine maintenance on painting and preparation equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.Report any equipment malfunctions or issues for timely Safety ComplianceAdhere to safety guidelines and protocols when handling paints, solvents, and chemicals. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to ensure a safe working environment.Inventory ManagementMaintain an inventory of paints, solvents, and painting Order and restock supplies asDocumentationMaintain accurate records of the types of paint used, surface preparation techniques, and other relevant information for quality control and future Specific Tasks for PositionResponsible for moving items to dryingResponsible for unloading and stacking products for further painting or Use and operation of heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, Application of seamEnsure the work area and paint booth are cleaned and orderlyOther duties asQualifications:Education: High school diploma orv Experience:Proven experience in industrial painting and surface Familiarity with various types of paint, coatings, and Knowledge of painting techniques, including the use of spray Ability to read and interpret blueprints and productStrong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality Ability to work independently and as part of aUnderstanding of safety procedures and protocols in painting Physical Demands and Work Environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
