Job responsibilities
* Participates in regular reviews of assumptions and algorithms and identifies and implements required changes by collaborating with Proposals, Contracts, Change Orders, and Functional Group leaders.
* Collaborates with internal and external customers to understand their pricing-related needs, and implements customized solutions. In the majority of cases, this involves working with complex, financial and pricing information contained in excel models and/or databases and the implementation of solutions based on this data.
* Provides project management oversight that may lead to the implementation new functionality including oversight of timelines, assigning and tracking action items, and other activities as needed.
* Works with management team, subject matter experts from across the company and other relevant parties within the Company as required to streamline the Company's algorithms and models, ensuring accurate bidding and the production of high quality proposals.
* Prepares and updates user instructions.
* Collaborates with Finance and Accounting to ensure timely updates to foreign exchange rates, pass-through costs, inflation profiles, and other core information
* Collaborates and troubleshoots technical issues with the IT group and 3rd party system developers and technical specialists.
* Communicates and enforces departmental processes, ensuring adequate training is available and that processes are in compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
* Participates in departmental initiatives and process improvements

Qualifications

What we're looking for

* BA/BS or equivalent in a business or health-related degree or equivalent education and experience

* Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MS) and/or Experience working in finance, proposals and contracts in the CRO industry

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email, and voicemail, including expert proficiency in Excel.

* Above-average attention to detail, excellent oral/written communication skills skills and problem-solving skills along with highly-developed interpersonal and strong team orientated skills. Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

* Strong analytical, negotiation and organizational skills with ability to perform several tasks simultaneously. Strong problem solving skills and ability to make effective, appropriate decisions when necessary.

* Resourceful and proactive with proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities simultaneously

* Experience developing, maintaining, and/or managing pricing tools or systems or equivalent experience in financial modeling and analysis

* Although travel is rarely required, national or international travel may be required 2-3 times per year
