Job Description

As the Vice President (VP) of Product - Data, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning at Datasite, you will play a pivotal role in our leadership team, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Product. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the product vision, strategy, and execution within the Data, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning domains. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative data-driven, AI, and ML products that align with our overall product strategy, meet customer needs, and contribute to our growth as an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Vision - Data, AI & ML

Collaborate with the SVP of Product to define and execute a forward-thinking product vision for our Data, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning domains, aligning with our company's overarching goals and emerging market trends. Contribute to the creation and execution of a comprehensive product strategy for Data, AI & ML, including a go-to-market plan that leverages technology advancements to maintain our competitive edge in these domains.

Data-Driven Decision-Making

Utilize data-driven insights and collaborate with the SVP of Product to guide strategic decisions within the Data, AI & ML domains, ensuring that product initiatives are backed by meaningful analytics and market intelligence. Work with your team to define and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), and other relevant success metrics within the Data, AI & ML domains, aligning them with the broader product strategy.

Cross-functional Leadership - Data, AI & ML

Provide strong leadership to your team of product managers, data scientists, AI & ML engineers, and other stakeholders within the Data, AI & ML domains, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration in data-driven and AI/ML product development. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and service, to ensure the successful execution of the product strategy in Data, AI & ML.

Innovation and Technology Advancement - Data, AI & ML

Stay informed about technological advancements and industry trends in data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, identifying opportunities for innovation that can enhance our product offerings in these domains. Support the integration of cutting-edge data, AI, and ML technologies into the wider product portfolio. Encourage experimentation and rapid iteration in data-driven, AI, and ML product development to introduce fresh concepts to the market.

Product Development and Launch - Data, AI & ML

Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept validation to launch and post-launch optimization of data-driven, AI, and ML products. Collaborate closely with your product managers, data scientists, AI & ML engineers, and engineering teams to define precise product requirements, prioritize data-related and AI/ML features, and ensure timely delivery. Monitor the post-launch performance of data-driven, AI, and ML products and drive data-driven optimizations to enhance user experience and achieve business objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication - Data, AI & ML

Work closely with the SVP of Product to effectively communicate and evangelize the data-centric, AI, and ML product vision, value proposition, and roadmap to internal teams, key stakeholders, customers, and industry influencers. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and partners, to gather feedback, align with their needs, and bring their insights into the product creation process.

Security Focus - Data, AI & ML

Collaborate with the SVP of Product to infuse a security-first mindset into the data-driven, AI, and ML product development process, ensuring robust safeguards and data protection. Stay current with industry security trends and practices, proactively implementing necessary updates to maintain the highest level of data protection.

People

Build and lead a world-class product organization, employing effective strategies to attract, develop, and retain high-potential individuals within the team. Own the role of player/coach, actively participating in projects alongside team members while also providing thoughtful guidance, strong leadership development, and tailored mentoring for a team of skilled product leaders.

Qualifications And Requirements

Bachelor's degree. A proven track record of leadership in product management, with at least 10 years of experience in progressively responsible roles. Demonstrated experience with enterprise products in complex domains such as financial services, insurance, and education. Exceptional strategic thinking abilities and a demonstrated capacity to convert strategy into actionable plans. Strong data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and extract meaningful insights. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and collaborate effectively across various teams and levels of the organization, as well as customers and partners. Experience in building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-focus. Proven success in delivering products to market, from concept to launch, with a keen focus on customer needs and market trends. A deep understanding of technology and its applications, with a pulse on emerging trends in the industry. Strong business acumen, with the ability to align product strategies with overall business goals and financial objectives. A customer-centric mindset, with the ability to represent the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their highest potential. Strong problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented approach to overcoming challenges. A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Proven experience in driving change within an organization, fostering innovation, and adapting to evolving market landscapes. Experience with software such as Looker, Snowflake, Heap, Pendo, and other BI (Business Intelligence) tools. Experience working as part of a remote team.
