as our Lead Buyer We are seeking a proactive individual to oversee purchases of aerospace materials and commodity products, ensuring timely delivery to specified time and location from inner company sites. You will be responsible for sourcing materials at the best price while upholding quality standards, managing our Procurement Department, recommending reliable suppliers, analyzing quotations, scheduling deliveries, and ensuring efficient order processing. Key Responsibilities:

Focal procurement agent for all inner company purchases and logistics of Satellite Communications (SATCOM) antennas.

Manage the end-to-end inner company supply chain relationship with business sites for strategic buys and ensure timely delivery of products for the Business Unit.

Manage procurement team and work together on purchasing strategy.

Work with Inside Sales to meet schedule.

Help resolve all procurement issues with sales, engineering, quality, and operations.

Negotiate and issue purchase orders directed by purchase requisition or MRP action message in accordance with planned inventory strategies.

Review MRP requirements to ensure component deliveries are scheduled in line with production requirements; review and issue purchase orders and make necessary changes to requirements, schedule, and price.

Analyze and process supplier notifications.

Manage the communication and expedition of all engineering changes and schedule changes.

Monitor the delivery status of scheduled receipts to ensure on-time delivery to the needed date.

Research vendors and develop new and alternative sources of supply where vendors and preferred suppliers are inadequate.

Continually monitor, evaluate, and report on the performance of suppliers.

Ensure timely disposition and return of any non-conforming supplier material ensuring rapid replenishment to support production needs.

Manage day-to-day procurement activities including internal and vendor communications; negotiate price changes, revised terms, and special arrangements with vendors.

Maintain key Supply Chain performance indicators such as SOTIF, and SDPPM.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a supply chain organization.

Previous experience as a buyer within an Aerospace manufacturing company is an advantage.

Experience of influencing and/or negotiating.

Experience of supplier relationship management.

Ability to work to financial and time sensitive constraints.

Computer knowledge including proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, Teams, and Internet.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in business, operations, supply chain or related field.

Experience in Satellite Communications (SATCOM) antenna procurement.

5 years of experience in an AS9100 environment.

5 years of experience in ERP system.
