Responsibilities

  • Manage and control documents related to Quality, including but not limited to:
  • Master Formula Files
  • The Quality Systems Specialist will control the changes, routing, and approval of Master Formulas.
  • Product Specification Files
  • The Quality Systems Specialist will control the changes, routing, and approval of Product Specifications.
  • Master Label Files
  • The Quality Systems Specialist will control the approval of Master Labels. They will be responsible for reviewing the labels for accuracy against the current Master Formulas.
  • QA Indexes
  • The Quality Systems Specialist will be responsible for updating and maintaining an accurate QA Master Index to reflect the current revisions and status of the documents controlled through Quality Assurance.
  • Training Files
  • The Quality Systems Specialist will maintain GMP training records and notify other departments of required training when needed.
  • Standard Operating Procedures
  • The Quality Systems Specialist will assist in routing and controlling changes to sops.
  • Validation
  • The Quality Systems Specialist will assist in the product validation and annual review of Over-the-Counter drugs and Medical Devices.
  • Route and track documentation changes to the appropriate parties.
  • File quality records accurately and neatly.
  • Maintain company database.
  • Other duties as required by QA Management
Qualifications
  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
  • Two years experience working in a QA and/or regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of GMPs in dietary supplements or other regulated environments.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have sufficient technical training to perform essential functions of the position.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must be willing to learn new tasks and procedures.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to interact with personnel from all departments of the company
  • Proficient with computers using Windows and Microsoft office.
  • Industry experience in GMPs
  • Ability to enter data accurately.
