The Loveless Cafe is a popular restaurant with abundant history and a wonderful reputation in the Nashville area. The Loveless is known for its Southern hospitality and seeks individuals with excellent customer service abilities to join our team

**Job Objective:**Sell and serve food and drinks in a professional manner.

**Essential Functions:**

* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

* Must be able to pass responsible service of alcohol and food test with a score of 90% or better

* Serve 3-4 tables, as determined by management.

* Complete knowledge of Loveless Caf food and beverage preparation

* Ability to sell alcohol and food items

* Able to use Upserve to ring orders on checks

* Able to interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner

* Able to accept different types of payment and make change

* Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant

* Clear and reset tables

* Check identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages.

* Refuse to serve beverages politely to guests who are not of legal age

* If consuming alcoholic beverages, observe guests' behavior, count the number of drinks served, and if you feel they should not drive, offer a taxi, dont hesitate to ask a manager to intervene.

* All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction.

* Always strive to exceed our guests expectations.

* Report to work in a neat and clean uniform (well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential)

**Qualifications**

* HS Diploma or GED preferred

* Basic mathematical skills

* Must be able to make change

* Basic reading and writing skills

* Previous server experience required

**Special Position Requirements**

* Valid Tennessee Drivers License

* Valid ABC Card

* Must have availability to work a changing schedule

* Will work nights, holidays, and weekends

**Work Requirements**

* Be able to stand and work during entire shifts (up to 8 hours)

* Be able to reach, bend and stoop frequently

* Carries 20 LBS highchairs up to 10 times per shift
