Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.

POSITION SUMMARY

TRC is seeking a Mid-level Geologist, Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager to join our Arlington, Texas Engineering, Construction, and Remediation team. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual and is a results-oriented leader who works with stakeholders to understand project needs and manages teams to deliver services to meet those requirements. The assistant project manager is responsible for networking with clients to identify and define projects, developing and negotiating proposals, building teams of technical staff and sub-consultants to execute work, maintaining quality and risk management processes to keep work on track, and delivering according to scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

  • Effectively collaborates with office staff, fostering teamwork and continuity.
  • Management of environmental remediation projects, environmental assessments, compliance assessments and permitting, report preparation, task management, and subcontractor oversight.
  • Review and prepare proposals and statement of qualifications.
  • Work to cross-sell TRC services and increase business from existing accounts.
  • Creates and executes project work plans and staffing plans.
  • Manages project risk by understanding and following risk management procedures.

Proficient implementation of TRCs Health & Safety Program and Quality Management Plan.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • 4 to 10 years of experience with an environmental consulting/engineering firm that has project experience in environmental investigations, remediation, environmental compliance, due diligence, and other environmental matters.
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in geology, environmental sciences, engineering, or related field of study from an accredited university.
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, NPDES, CERCLA, etc.) and Texas regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to interface well with and develop a positive relationship with our clients and employees.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER health and safety training certificate.
