One of CGI’s largest subsidiary companies is Colonial Oil (COI). For more than 100 years, Colonial Oil Industries has been providing fuel and lubricant supply and distribution services to wholesale, commercial, industrial, retail, marine, and cardlock customers across 34 states and growing.
The Senior Financial Analyst position will be responsible for providing financial analyses, recommendations, and support for COI and will act as a liaison between accounting and operations. This position will be expected to work independently with COI’s executive management team. The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly motivated employee who will be excited to learn about the business and grow with the finance department.
In order to properly support COI leadership and operations, this position is expected to be based out of the COI office in Savannah.
JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES
Partner with the leaders at COI to better understand the business.
Prepare and deliver analysis and recommendations to COI leadership.
Partner with accounting to collect and analyze financial data turning it into actionable insights.
Identify and/or develop key indicators impacting performance and results.
Develop and maintain complex models in Excel to aid in financial modeling, reporting, and analysis.
Closely analyze monthly sales and track margin performance.
Build and maintain the annual fiscal year budget.
Build upon the current forecasting process.
Perform forecasting and budgeting variance analysis on a monthly basis.
Review and analyze trends (revenues, costs, inventories, etc.)
Identify areas to automate reporting and eliminate duplication.
Assist on quarterly deep dive reviews as well as annual board of director presentations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree is required (finance, accounting, business, math, etc.)
3 to 5 years of experience as a financial analyst.
A working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, array functions, etc)
The candidate should be comfortable working with multiple PC software platforms.
Verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills are required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Travel will be minimal, potentially up to 10%.
