Our interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals cares for a wide-range of pediatric trauma and injuries, such as chest, bone, spinal cord, head and neck and abdominal injuries. We care for over 48,000 patients annually and treat almost 40 percent of all pediatric trauma in the Twin Cities. Our 28-bed Level I trauma center serves our neighbors in Minneapolis, as well as outlying facilities that depend on our critical care expertise. We offer a variety of services to our community partners, including critical care transport and telehealth. Although our specialty is pediatric emergency medicine, we are a community-based hospital that serves as a safety-net for families without a primary care provider. Our team of emergency department professionals is committed to providing excellent care to our patients and families.Position SummaryThe Patient Care Supervisor (PCS) is considered a front-line department/unit leader. The PCS will directly lead clinical support staff and assist in the leadership of RN staff.Qualifications: License/Certification/Registration:*Active RN on Minnesota Board of Nursing required*Current BLS requiredEducation: *Bachelor's degree in nursing requiredExperience: *3 years of direct patient care experience within a related specialty.*Informal leadership experience is preferred (charge RN, clinical educator, preceptor, etc.).Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *Desired characteristics: dependable, responsible, strong conflict resolution skills, knowledge of assigned unit, ability to multi-task, self-starter with ability to problem solve independently.*Availability for on-call and off-hours rotations/situations as decided by department/unit. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Children's Minnesota.All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with the U.S. Government Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
