Responsibilities of Farm Manager:

•Ensure that all farm and animal procedures are followed in accordance with established policies and safety.

•Lead product sales and distribution efforts for commercial for-profit establishments, not-for-profit entities such as food banks and pantries, on-site farm market and PVC dining facilities

•Schedule, educate, and manage volunteers, define tasks, procedures, ensure safety and benchmarks for quality (ex. seeding; monitoring of plant growth, feeding, harvesting and delivery, cleaning, and sanitization, etc.)

•Create annual and multi-year crop and animal plans, budget and labor requirements, supplies and equipment needed, and volunteer engagement plans. Supply detailed information as needed for grant-writing, potential donor partners, and fundraising.

•Develop computerized tracking system to ensure high quality production of plants grown in the hydroponics and crop systems, poultry, and livestock maintenance.

Qualifications of Farm Manager:

•Agriculture degree or Ag Business degree preferred.

•High School graduate with hands-on education in farming programs.

•Must possess previous agriculture experience with farming and animal production.

•Preferred experience in farm planning, administration, and management.

•Working with others and teams to complete projects.
