Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Cleveland, Ohio service center. The successful candidate will have experience with motor and/or generator design and /or repair and may support other sites within the North Region as needed for more complex issues. This role demands a blend of deep technical expertise, leadership, professionalism and project management skills to drive the development and implementation of innovative repair services and electrical designs. This position will be responsible for performing RCFA to develop engineered solutions and for providing technical support for both in-shop and field repairs, while also providing technical support and consultation to the Cleveland sales team. Principal responsibilities and expectations include:Unmatched Customer Service:Actively participate in the IPS UCE tier meeting process - UCE1 and aboveProvide electrical engineering and technical support to Cleveland EMD teamEnsure that IPS solutions meet customer specifications, expectations, and applicable industry standards.Assist with implementation of quality improvement actionsEnsure compliance with operating policies and proceduresUtilize Continuous Improvement Process Solution (CIPS) tools and Processes to deliver continued quality and productivity to our customersEnforce strict safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements in all engineering and shop activitiesSoft Skills: Innovative Thinking: Embracing innovation and creativity is key to staying competitive in today's dynamic business environment.Adaptability: Markets and industries are constantly evolving, and IPS leaders must be flexible and adaptable. Proactive in sharing best practices and lessons learnedContinuous Improvement Mindset: Always seeking to improve delivery and outcomesResponsibilities:Provide Electrical technical support to customers, repair shops, and field service activitiesReverse engineer motor and generator designsEnsure that repairs meet customer specifications, expectations, and applicable industry standardsAssist with implementation of quality improvement actionsDevelop and implement electrical repairs and stator winding practices training curriculum Drive development of electrical work motor repair instructionsInterpret and ensure compliance with operating policies and proceduresUtilize Continuous Improvement Process Solution (CIPS) tools and ProcessesManage and support shop with capital improvements and integration of new capital manufacturing assetsEnsure rewinding process adheres to IPS PowerSeal and MegaSeal requirements and One-Way specificationsStay informed on relevant IEEE/NEMA/IEC standardsConduct thorough review of coil build-sheetsSupervise both in process, and final acceptance tests to confirm compliance with IPS/customer specificationsMaintain the high voltage lab and perform necessary VE testsSupport North Regional with complex electrical issues when needed (
