Four Hands is one of the largest home furnishing distributors in Austin, TX. We operate out of seven locations with nearly 1,000,000 sqft of warehouse space. A role in our distribution center means being in the heart of getting products to our customers as quickly as possible.

The Warehouse CDL Driver plays a vital role in our team, ensuring exceptional service and support for both our internal team and valued customers. From warehouse operations to delivering top-notch service, this position is key to our success.

Start Time: 5pm - 1am

In This Role
  • Load and unload the truck/trailer
  • Safely and punctually drive the truck/trailer to designated destinations, ensuring timely delivery while prioritizing safety and careful handling
  • Inspect truck and trailer for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips
  • Submit a written report on the condition of the truck at the beginning and end of shift
  • Drive commercial vehicles skillfully in challenging conditions, including heavy traffic and adverse weather, adjusting speed as necessary
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both external clients and internal teams
  • Ensure paperwork is accurate and completed in a timely fashion
  • Maintain the truck to ensure proper and safe working order and that routine and required maintenance occurs on a timely basis
  • Comply with all Federal, State and local laws regulating safe driving and operating of a commercial vehicle
  • Uphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands team
  • Other duties as assigned by Management
The Ideal Person
  • Must have 2 years commercial driving experience
  • Must have a valid Class A Driver's License
  • Minimum of one year equipment operation experience is required (i.e., forklift, order picker)
  • Ability to move/position product weighing up to 150 lbs. without assistance and up to 250 lbs. with the assistance of a dolly or other equipment
  • Must be able to constantly work in an open/outdoor warehouse environment
  • Must be able to frequently position self to maintain/move product throughout the facility and be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Have the capacity to grow and be adaptable
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
  • Able to read maps, road signs and shipping receipts
  • Experience in the furniture/freight industry
  • Must pass the Company's MVR policy
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills that enable you to work in a time pressured environment
  • Be a key influence of the team and lead by example
