How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Sales Tax Specialist is responsible for supporting daily activities related to assuring customers are taxed properly, exemptions are properly documented, and customer tax disputes are resolved.
•Determine proper taxability of customers and transactions with limited supervision.
•Review and approve tax exemption certificates provided by customers for completeness and accuracy in order to substantiate customer exemptions.
•Contact customers if documentation is missing or incomplete to receive corrected or updated exemption certificates.
•Apply and maintain sales tax exemption certificates in exemption certificate maintenance software.
•Process tax credit invoice requests for short pays on invoices due to sales taxes.
•Resolve customer tax disputes with strong customer service focus.
•Utilize research tools and critical thinking to determine the proper taxability of customer and transactions.
•Assist with sales tax email box.
•Assist with sales tax audits.
•Assist with maintaining business licenses for all division locations where required.

Are you a MATCH?

•Minimum two years of sales tax or similar accounting related experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
•Skilled in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, Google Applications, preferred SAP experience.
•Ability to perform analysis of spreadsheets relating to sales tax and general accounting, calculate figures and amounts including unit of measure issues and tax.
•Exhibit customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships and
understand customer needs of internal and external customers.
•Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional
manner.
