VP Cash Management, Commercial, and Institutional Sales

Summary: The VP - Cash Management, Commercial and Institutional Sales will identify and develop new, as well as expand existing, commercial, institutional and municipal relationships within the bank's market and contiguous market areas, with primary emphasis on the Bank's expanding Connecticut footprint.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Independently identify and develop new Municipal, Commercial and Institutional deposit relationships.
- Working either independently or with the Commercial Lending team, be responsible for the direct sale of deposit and cash management related products/services to new commercial, municipal and institutional relationships as well as expanding upon existing relationships.
- Maintains knowledge of bank's products and services as well as regulatory and compliance.
- Refer opportunities to other areas of bank including Retail, PB Wealth and Lending.
- Complete customer/prospect needs and profitability analysis and assist in developing response to RFPs.
- Prepare and present proposed service solutions/sales presentations to prospects and customers.
- Obtain all appropriate executed applications and documentation to coordinate account opening and cash management products/services with Cash Management Support and / or branch network.
- Coordinate sales installations and training with Cash Management support team and follow up with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and to ensure proper implementation in regard to all applicable documentation and necessary paperwork for proper compliance.
- Provides a superior level of customer service and support
- Work with FVP Cash Management Sales and FVP Cash Management Support Manager to identify new product and service needs as well as pricing/profitability recommendations.
- Actively participate in a wide range of civic and community events to cultivate new relationships and promote the Bank's interest.
- Completes all yearly compliance training and testing and complies with bank, federal, and state regulations. Adheres to departmental and bank-wide service standards.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
Three to five years sales experience in business and/or municipal banking;
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills needed:
* Proven track record of initiating, executing and growing complex client relationships
* Strong business development, relationship management, and negotiating skills
* Ability to develop strong partnerships internally while navigating a large and complex organization
* 5-8 years of experience in banking, specifically progressive responsibility in Commercial Credit and Commercial Loan relationship building.
* Ability to understand and analyze financial statements.
* Independently performs assignments
* Responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and executing assignments.
* Makes decisions that affect significant bank operations.
* Regularly advises and/or approves commercial loan or services transactions.

Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Other skills and knowledge
Self-motivated highly organized individual with an outgoing personality.
