Job Summary: The Billing Manager oversees EHPN billing team and is responsible for completing registration and charge entry assignements for the assigned practices. Manager functions as the primary liaison between the Physicians, office staff, external billing teams and the Director of Physician Network Revenue Cycle and Managed Care. Leads all business services functions for the assigned physician practices including but not limited to insurance verification, coding and billing compliance, referral and authorizations, payer correspondence, charge reconciliations and claim denials. This position will also be the Practices primary liaison with the outside billing company as needed and will coordinate staff training and education for Physicians and other practice staff in regard to the physician revenue cycle. Oversees the Billing Specialists across all EHPN practices. Manages staff for optimum performance

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.

* High School Diploma or GED required. * Knowledge of Physician Billing which can normally be acquired through the completion of either an Associate's degree in Accounting, Business or Health Management or a Certificate Program in Medical Billing. * Minimum of 8+ years' work experience in Physician Billing with an in-depth and up to date knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-10 and federal and state billing regulations plus knowledge of Anatomy/Physiology, Medical Terminology and Insurance. * Experience managing a minimum of 3+ personnel. * Experience with EPIC EHR and/or Athena Collector billing software required. * Demonstrates minimum behaviors which exemplify Standards of Service Excellence. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in order to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff including physicians. * Ability to exercise independent judgment. * Typing and PC skills necessary

Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required.
