We're looking for a good-natured, efficient barback to shake things up (and keep things organized) at the bar at Lefty's Brick Bar, ARRIVE Austin.

Located at ARRIVE Austin, Lefty's Brick Bar is an East Austin neighborhood bar offering abundant libations and delicious small bites and NY-style pizza in a casual setting. The inviting courtyard space is ideal for outdoor events, cocktail parties and casual get-togethers. Lefty's also serves breakfast from 7am to 11am Monday-Friday in the Vixen's Wedding dining room. THE TASK AT HAND:
- You're the friendly face that enhances our guests' experience by bringing your own flavor to the table
- Making sure guests are having a fabulous time, from the moment they arrive until it's time to say goodbye.
- Creating a warm, friendly, and laidback atmosphere that turns first-time guests into regulars.
- Learning our steps of service, products, menu, and systems inside and out.
- Assisting bartenders with all aspects of service preparation and the break down of the bar each evening.
- Ensuring a smooth operation by pulling and delivering spirits, food and ice as needed
- Completing crucial bar maintenance tasks such as changing of kegs, organizing storage rooms, and checking inventory.
- Preparing syrups and garnishes to maintain top-notch taste and visual quality for all cocktails served
- Washing and polishing glassware and bar utensils.
- Working side by side with bartenders to clean, break down and consistently maintain health department cleanliness standards.
- Working collaboratively with the entire team to ensure an excellent guest experience and a smooth operation
- Engaging positively with guests and communicate requests to bartenders, servers and/or kitchen, as appropriate.
- Greeting guests and assist with seating as needed.
- Bussing tables and bar tops as guests filter in and out.
- Cleaning bar and/or table tops, chairs, stools, and floors between seatings and as directed
- Resetting and rearranging bar and/or tabletops when needed to accommodate larger parties
- Frequently reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe.
- Frequently wash hands.
- Be able to move items weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Be able to cut, measure, pour, serve, carry and wipe.
- Be able to communicate with guests and colleagues.
- Must be 21 or older.
- Prior experience as a Barback
