Job Description ProMedica Wildwood Athletic Club is a state of the art athletic facility located in Toledo, OH. It is one of the finest health and wellness facilities in the area located on the campus of Wildwood Medical Center. The 40,000 square foot facility allows Wildwood members to complete fitness, sports and social experiences. It is a refreshing alternative to a gym that offers trained experts, cutting-edge equipment and a welcoming environment.

**General Summary**

Swim Instructors provide professional swim instruction for all programs offered at the club. They are professional, responsible and certified in all areas that they instruct. Instructors have some experience working with all areas of the population. They will also assist with club programs, events, partnerships in and out-of-house. Swim Instructors will promote club memberships and demonstrate a high level of customer service.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

* Teach and effectively demonstrate the skills of the American Red Cross Swim Program or other sanctioned authority as approve by Fitness Manager

* Organize class materials and equipment prior to class

* Greet all participants by name

* Begin and end classed on time

* Maintain attention and control of classes at all time

* Keep accurate skill progression records on all participants for parents

* Ensure safety of all participants at all times

* Be innovative in teaching methods

* Maintain inventory of equipment and store properly

* Attend all scheduled training sessions and meetings

* Submit payroll as required in an accurate and timely manger; manage client payments and chit tracking to ensure accuracy

* Abide by all club/company rules and policies as outlined.

* Accept and complete all assignments deemed appropriate by Supervisor

Job Requirements

* American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR and First Aid

* American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (recommended)

* American Red Cross WSI Certification or Swim Lessons University Certificate

* Two years teaching experience or student teach 2 sessions in our program

* Enjoy working with children and adults

* Display constant positive attitude and patience

* Maintain regular attendance and punctuality

* Enthusiastic and inspirational

* Ability to work under pressure

* Ability to work with others as a team player

* Good communication skills

* Promotional skills

* Organizational skills
