GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Blue Ox Moving and Storage is currently hiring drivers to become part of a growing organization. Full and part time hours available. Pay is based on experience with great earning potential, PLUS TIPS

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare and pack customers' items to prevent damage during transit. Tasks include taking apart furniture, wrapping items to prevent damage and packing items into boxes.
  • Load and unload customers items using dollies/ramps etc.
  • Arrange items in the truck to fit the load and prevent objects from falling or getting damaged.
  • Offload truck at destination and place items per customers request.
  • Assemble furniture
  • Track inventory to ensure nothing gets lost or damaged
  • Answer customers' questions and address requests they have for how they want items packed, loaded, and unloaded.
  • Provide information about price and time estimates and address any concerns.
  • Process payments from customers
  • Communicate effectively between the customer and the local office for any questions or concerns that may arise during move.
  • Responsible for keeping moving trucks clean and help perform general vehicle maintenance.
  • Assists other support staff with assigned functions as needed
  • Perform other related essential duties as assigned or requested
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Drivers must possess valid drivers license with clean driving record and be able to pass drug test
  • High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience
  • Driving experience preferred but not required
  • Able to move furniture and lift at least 70lbs
  • Ability to successfully engage with customers face to face while on the job.
  • Must be professional and respectful at all times.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening and background check
