SynchroGrid is looking for a dynamic Human Resources Generalist who will manage a wide range of responsibilities, covering all aspects of day-to-day HR processes. As SynchroGrid is experiencing a high growth phase, this role will be expected to adapt to the specific needs of the organization. Flexibility, multitasking, and effective communication skills are key to successfully operating in this actively growing environment.
This role will be onsite and based in our Bryan, Texas office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle day-to-day HR activities, such as benefits administration, payroll preparation and processing, professional development program administration, maintaining employee records, tracking PTO, and managing personnel files.
- Work with our immigration attorney to complete immigration applications and paperwork.
- Coordinate onboarding process for new employees including running all background checks, processing paperwork, coordinating orientation schedules, and setting up HR accounts.
- Coordinate offboarding process for exiting employees.
- Facilitate the scheduling and processing of annual employee reviews.
- Oversee all recruiting efforts, including posting job descriptions on relevant platforms, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, preparing and sending offer letters, sourcing potential candidates on recruiting platforms, communicating with business managers to determine current job needs, assisting with reference checks, etc.
- Maintain database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and fired employees, and other designations.
- Attend career fairs and manage all logistics for travel, booth set up, coordinating team members in attendance, etc.
- Develop relationships with engineering universities to connect with potential new graduates and future candidates.
- Research strategies for attracting, acquiring, and retaining talent.
- Research and stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices adhere to legal requirements, including record-keeping, minimum wage, and leave entitlements.
- Recognize employee achievements, administer the employee loyalty awards program, and solicit feedback through informal conversations or surveys.
- Work with the office administration team to plan the annual company retreat.
- Be accessible to employees, address their concerns, and provide guidance on adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Research and leverage HR technology solutions that are suitable for SynchroGrid's needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Human Resources Management.
- Knowledge of HR regulations and compliance preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to travel when required.
