Job Summary Subject Matter Expert CNO Developers at Nightwing are looked to revolutionize and drive innovation for our customers. SME's are respected leaders in their particular field of expertise and mentor junior engineers in their careers. All engineers analyze systems to understand how they work and how they behave when they break. Candidates must be able to play both sides of the fence, both developing and defeating new and advanced security techniques. Projects are undertaken in small teams with close coordination with customers. All our engineers write code, but many of our engineers spend as much time taking systems apart as building new ones. A typical day can involve studying disassembly or writing Python to audit a piece of C++ code. SME's will be expected to lead efforts of varying size from small to very large (50+). Role Type: This position is an onsite role. Basic Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 12 years experience as an expert in Assembly, C or C++, and Python. Expert level experience in one domain technology or area (e.g.; Wireless, Windows, Mobile architecture, etc). Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Desired Skills: 5 or more of the following desired skills Understanding of OS Internals (i.e. Windows) Experience with Vulnerability Research Experience reading or writing assembly (x86, x64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, SPARC, 68k, or others) Experience developing embedded systems Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stacks, wire-level protocols, RF communications, BGP, routing protocols, or others). Understanding of exploit mitigations such as DEP and ASLR Experience using reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, HexRays, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, or objdump. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
