Job Summary: An Anesthesia Technician is an employee who performs assigned duties in the operating room to assist the surgical team and Anesthesia personnel.

Minimum Requirements: High school graduate or equivalency. Nurses Aid I certificate listed with the Division of Facility Services. One year experience as a Nurse Aide I or a Central Sterile Supple Technician. Current BLS certification. Possesses the ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and all others using proper channels of communication. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/ area's/ department's policies and procedures.
