As a Client Specialist in Commercial Term Lending, you will support one or more Client Managers and serve as a contact point for customers to resolve issues/difficulties across multiple departments. You will have the opportunity to contribute to high originations and retain existing clients by providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers, request documentation from borrowers, and size new loans with Client Manager's Assistance.

Commercial Term Lending (CTL) provides commercial real estate owners and investors with term financing solutions for purchase or refinance of stabilized industrial, retail, office, mixed use and multifamily properties. CTL is comprised of two businesses: Multifamily Lending (MFL), the nation's number one multifamily lender providing term financing from $500,000 to $25 million+ on stabilized apartment buildings with five or more units, and (2) Commercial Mortgage Lending (CML)which provides term financing from $1 million to $25 million+ on stabilized industrial, retail, office and mixed-use properties.

Job responsibilities

Facilitate application process by interfacing with customers in taking complete applicationsDiscuss products, pricing and quoting and locking interest rates at the request of the Client ManagerAct as a liaison between the Client Manager and the processing team and coordinate Letter of Interest submissions as well as loan closingsReview complex files with multi-layered entity documentation and examine third party reports and leasesIdentify potential problems with loan applications and arrive at a workable solution prior to submission to underwritingManage pipeline, including updating Client Manager on pipeline status and updating borrowers on the status of their loanAssist the Client Manager in building customer and real estate broker relationshipsCoordinate and manage marketing to customers and brokersAssist and attend team marketing events and trade showsEstablish with Client Manager the number of loans required to fund and close in Client Manager annual production goal setting processRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills

2+ years' experience in mortgage lending with inside sales/customer service backgroundIntermediate computer skillsExperience with MS Office products or similar softwareEnthusiastic and self-motivatedExcellent written and oral communicationExcellent customer service skillsAbility to demonstrate control, flexibility, and maintain quality and high productivity when dealing with customers and changing work demandPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
