Job Overview:

The Inventory Performance Analyst is responsible for assisting the ISN Planning and Purchasing Team in in optimizing our inventory investment. This role involves reviewing and acting upon overall inventory to assist with specific reports such as customer and channel fill-rates, new item performance, supplier excess inventory reduction, and overall national brand and private label inventory goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain folder and calendar of regular reporting for elements including channel fill-rates, new item performance, excess inventory reduction and inventory goals across both private label and national brands portfolio of products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional members of the supply chain team to share and communicate information critical to ISN's success
  • Interact with sales teams as needed to support customer-specific inventory performance activity
  • Analyze data gathered to identify and present observations and recommendations for actions on all reporting created

Qualifications:

Education:

Minimum formal education required: High School Diploma or GED is required.

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field is preferred.

A combination of education and work experience also eligible.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar inventory analyst or product management role; distribution and/or buying experience a plus
  • Strong business acumen and solid judgement and ability to make recommendations on business decisions
  • Advanced Excel experience to include formula application, pivot tables, LOOKUP functions such as VLOOKUP and other data analysis tools to gather, analyze, and summarize data in order to take action on insights obtained
  • Proficiency with Access or other database programs, PowerBI (extraction of data and building reports/dashboards), PowerPoint (presentations), and other MS Office applications
  • Proven success working in a collaborative manner with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with both internal and external partners to find solutions
  • Familiarity with using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is a plus
  • Experience in the automotive tool & equipment industry a plus but not required
  • SQL and or Python experience is a plus
