responsibilities and Expectations Conduct daily review of reports generated through the bank’s BSA/AML monitoring software.Conduct daily and monthly reviews and trend analysis of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) monitoring alerts.Perform daily review of basic Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) reports and investigate and report to FinCEN any positive 314(a) matches.Identify potential high-risk customers through various channels and coordinate the gathering of CIP information and perform customer due diligence.Utilize and review the account risk rating process and monitoring platform. Conduct periodic reviews for high-risk customers.Review monetary instrument logs and prepare Currency Transaction Reports for secondary review.Perform periodic reviews of exempt customers.Investigate and prepare cases for review by the SAR Committee and prepare Suspicious Activity Reports for secondary review.Serve as the liaison between the BSA Department, bank branches, and internal bank departments.Assist and provide support to others in the BSA Department during high volume monitoring periods or due to absences.Perform other duties as assigned or required. Required Skills & Education Bachelor’s degree preferred; however, relevant experience will be considered.Preference given to candidates with industry related certification(s).Knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, policies, procedures, and functions.Knowledge of core system integrated and automated BSA monitoring platforms.General banking front-line or back-office operations experience preferred.Professional verbal and written communication skills. Effective organizational and recordkeeping skills.Ability to read, analyze and interpret general banking periodicals, policies, and governmental regulations.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Computer proficiency, including Windows and Microsoft Office Suite products.Ability to perform essential job functions under general supervision.Ability to multi-task and respond quickly to changing priorities.Aptitude for detail, accuracy, and organization.Good judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills. Physical RequirementsThis position requires standing, walking, bending, and squatting on a regular basis. May require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or reach with hands and arms. Requires the ability to carry, lift, move or push up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis. Must be able to talk and listen to others. Work EnvironmentThis position regularly works in an office setting. The job duties require the employee to be working with computers and electronic media.
