Job Description Job Description Description:CAMS (Community Association Management Services), one of the fastest growing community association management companies in the southeastern US, is seeking an Accounting Manager that is able to work remotely as long as you are in NC or SC. There are rare instances where you would need to report to the headquarter office located in Wilmington, NC. Travel will be minimal,The CAMS Accounting Manager is a key operational role within the company. The primary responsibility is to lead a group of accounting professionals and ensure accurate, on-time production of monthly financial reports for community associations contracted with CAMS. The right candidate will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods to ensure consistency and accuracy within the department. The right candidate is also adept at interpersonal interactions and will work closely with Community Managers, key departmental heads, and will help maintain client relationships.*AR and AP are separate functional areas that do not fall under the Accounting Managers supervisionThe Ongoing Objectives of This Position Will IncludeLeading a cross-functional, cross-regional team of Accounting ProfessionalsMentoring, training and coaching your team to be results-orientedEnsuring on-time, accurate financial delivery for over 1200 Community Associations with a team of 10-15 accounting professionalsEngaging with internal and external audit teams to support annual audit activitiesPreparing technical accounting reports to show progress and trends for your teamCollaborating and working with internal and external teams to include auditors, banking professionals, board members in associations that are managed by CAMS, CAMS Community Managers and Regional Vice Presidents, Accounting Service Managers, and Accounts Payable TeamsAssisting with special projects as neededFilling in when needed to ensure on time deliverables are metAbility to organize work and develop workflows for process efficiency and accuracyManaging customer deliverablesRequirements: The Well-Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following TraitsTechnical proficiency in accountingAbility to motivate, inspire, develop and encourage feedbackStrong proficiency in computer skills, MS Excel, adaptability of learning new software programsAbility to meet deadlines, high sense of accountability for yourself and the teamHigh attention to detailDemonstrated experience working with cross-functional and cross-regional teamsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to present ideas and information in a clear, concise and well-organized mannerPreferred ExperienceBachelors Degree in Accounting or General Business Management5+ years management experienceAbility to learn quickly and independentlyData management skills, advanced skillset in ExcelTechnological skill, ability to quickly and adeptly learn new software platformsProven ability to interact and communicate with clients in a professional, positive and constructive way; comfortable with public speaking and leading a meetingExceptional communication skills and an innovative problem-solving personalityStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks, projects and workloadPrevious HOA accounting experience a plusBenefits and SalaryThe position is full-time, Monday Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm and salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
