Key Responsibilities

Careline Human Resource Generalists perform Human Resource functions supporting the total employment process. The Human Resource Generalist provides assistance to all employees to ensure all employment-related processes and requests are overseen.

In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Interact with employees, peers, and staff in a manner conducive to continued positive relationships
  • Establish and maintain an effective and efficient system of new hire onboarding and orientation and the establishment and maintenance of the employment record
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and CHAP accreditation human resources regulatory requirements
  • Maintain audits, full compliance, and confidentiality of all employee information and files
  • Be responsible for standardization and ensuring compliance with FMLA, LOA, time and attendance policies and standards are followed
  • Be responsible for managing all employee renewable documents and data entry into the HRIS system. Pull weekly reports and inactivate employees who are not in compliance with Agency requirements
  • Coordinate and perform the administrative portion of orientation for new employees ensuring completion of required education and supporting documentation in a timely manner
  • Provide support and direction to employees and management regarding any employee relations issues or concerns
  • Partner with management to provide guidance, and content expertise regarding policies and any necessary disciplinary action
  • Answer HR-related general questions
  • Complete exit interviews and satisfaction surveys
  • Enter and maintain correct employee information to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting
  • Drive employee engagement functions such as birthdays, hospice months, annual anniversaries, career recognition, etc.
  • Drive the best place to work applications and employee engagement surveys
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Human Resources Management or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years' experience in Human Resources
  • Current and valid driver's license
Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance coverage
  • Requires interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with employees
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of Human Resource functions
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate computer equipment, Excel, Outlook, Word, multiple phone lines, fax, and photocopy machines
Desired Qualifications
  • SHRM or PHR certification preferred
  • Health Care experience preferred
