The Business Support Analyst is responsible for identifying opportunities for improving business processes, identifying and implementing best practices, and leveraging technology to further productivity, output, and efficiency through continuous process improvements. This position serves as key link between the line of business, technology solutions, and all users. Responsibilities include analysis, facilitation, business process and workflow implementation, and development of training for all users of relevant system software. This position will provide technical analysis and reports based on data, processes, and revenues and costs. The Business support analyst requires innovative problem solving and considerable initiative to support the activities of the department. This position requires in-depth knowledge of relevant processes, strong organizational, project management, technical, and analytical skills, and a passion for service and technology innovation. Duties will include research, definition and prioritization of process improvements and technology projects. This position will build strong working relationships with application users, and the Information Technology department to ensure the delivery of the right services and products required by the departmentThe following duties ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties. Identify and recommend solutions to operational business problems and needs by facilitating business process improvements or optimization of system software. Gather data from multiple sources to evaluate and address organizational needs, including performance measures and financial data. Provide reporting and dashboards on data, performance measures, process improvement, etc. Identify, recommend, and document specific process improvements. Support improvements to workflows, system configuration, integration, and customization of departmental processes, systems, applications, and data bases. Design systems that ensure equitable and accessible experiences for all users. Interface directly with work groups to understand business processes, technology needs and enhancements for current systems. Provide training, guidance, documentation, and application support for departmental and customer system users. Work collaboratively as a liaison to Information Technology department and/or contract technical support on routine and special projects.

Job Location and Equipment Utilized: Work is performed in an office environment. Equipment utilized includes personal computer with associated software and peripherals.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge and understanding of process improvement methodologies and approaches. Knowledge and understanding of software development lifecycle system and their operations. Knowledge and understanding of enterprise productivity tools. Ability to work with computers and electronic devices. Ability to work well with people. Ability to work under pressure and deadlines. Ability to be flexible under changing priorities. Ability to maintain and deal with confidential material. Ability to prioritize work. Proficiency in Change Management approaches and methodology. Experience in data gathering, analysis, and report writing.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or computer information systems, or closely related field AND three (3) years full time professional level directly related experience; or equivalent level of combined education and experience. At least three years' experience working in the implementation of process improvement and understanding process workflows to implement technology projects and/or system upgrades. Knowledge of administrative systems and operations.
