Position Summary

As an IT Support Specialist at Ignitium, you will be the frontline support for all IT-related queries and issues. You'll ensure our employees have the technical support they need, whether they're working from home or in the office, to perform at their best. This role includes managing office infrastructure, providing individual desktop support, and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems for remote access. This position is full-time and is in-office.

Essential Functions

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential responsibilities listed below.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests via our project management tickets system and Slack.
  • Perform troubleshooting and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain employee workstations and company devices.
  • Configure and support individuals using client-issued hardware and access restrictions.
  • Document all incidents and resolutions in our ticketing system, ensuring clear communication and follow-up.
  • Monitor technical configuration issues across our clients.
  • Tier 1 support or analysis for security threats.
  • Collaborate with our Product Operations team to develop and improve IT support processes and documentation.

Secondary Functions

Secondary functions of this position include:

  • Participating in special projects and other company needs where technical advisory is needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job:

  • Proficiency with Mac OS and Apple devices
  • Well-versed in the use of Google's suite of services and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues in simple terms.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT support or technical service desk role.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Essential functions require sufficient physical ability to install equipment, lift devices, to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time, and operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine motor coordination, including the use of a computer keyboard.
