We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Marine Construction Superintendent to join our team and lead our projects to successful completion.

Job Summary: The Marine Construction Superintendent will oversee the daily operations of our marine construction projects, ensuring that all work is performed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and extensive experience in marine construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of marine construction projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of resources.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and other personnel involved in the project. Ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect all work to ensure it meets company standards and project specifications. Implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and procedures on-site to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Budget Management: Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective use of resources. Prepare and submit regular financial reports.
  • Client Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with clients, addressing any concerns and providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and permits. Liaise with regulatory bodies as necessary.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Solid understanding of marine construction techniques and best practices.
