Knowledge of the different types of health insurance plans; i.e. HMO's, PPO's, etc. Ability to recognize priority or emergency phone calls. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, both on the telephone and in person, including patients who are angry or upset. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
