We are currently expanding our team and are looking for a lead medical receptionist to join our busy practice. This position will perform all medical reception duties and provide oversight to the medical reception staff. You should have prior experience in a medical office and possess the ability to lead a team. This role includes, but is not limited to the following tasks:

Duties and Responsibilities of Medical Receptionist :

  • Patient registration, scheduling, data entry and processing.
  • Educates patients regarding benefits and collects patient payments, at point of service.
  • Complete and accurate management of patient data in practice management system.
  • Verify health insurances and obtain referrals.
  • Organize and maintain medical records.
  • Miscellaneous administrative tasks including, but not limited to scheduling, transportation, filing, faxing, etc.
  • Must have a clear understanding of company policies including the company manual
  • Must possess the physical, mental, and cognitive skills needed to complete essential tasks, including abilities such as learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for comprehension, problem-solving, and timely decision-making.
  • Willing and able to travel to other locations for business needs.
Add on Duties for lead:
  • Printing, uploading, and documenting completion of surgical Clearances in IMW once cleared by Nurse manager/APRO
  • Keeping track of medical records requests
  • Generate special op notes for special surgical procedures.
  • Troubleshoot computer issues before calling IT.
  • Assist the medical receptionist staff when they need extra help or have questions.
  • Covering for medical receptionists during time off.
  • Changing chart info in K drive and IOL to ensure proper documentation.
  • Maintain overall organization of the front to ensure good flow, patient satisfaction, and to increase productivity.

Education :
  • High School Diploma or equivalent prefferred
